The Faroe Islands participated at the eleventh North Vision Song Contest in Lviv, Ukraine. Valravn were selected via Rising Star Føroyar 01 to represent the country with their song "Koder på snor".
Background[]
On September 19 2014, KVF officially confirmed for the eleventh edition of the contest. In a press statement it was said, that the Faroese entrant would be found with the show "Rising Star Føroyar" which contained two Semi Finals and a Final to determine its winner. In the end, Valravn managed to receive the highest amount of votes by the Faroese public.

Rising Star Føroyar 01[]
The Faroese entry for the North Vision Song Contest 11 was select via a Natinal Selection called Rising Star Føroyar 01. 8 artists competed in two Semi-finals and a Grand Final to represent the Faroe Islands at the contest. The voting was influenced 100% by the Faroese public via a special voting app in which each viewer could choose if they want a song to pass or to fail. The winners of the selection was the band Valravn with their song "Koder på snor".

At North Vision[]
After they had been chosen, Valravn were presented in several TV shows in Ukraine. Their first rehearsals for the actual contest started on November 12 2014. The band performed for the Faroe Islands at the second Semi-final and reached the 16th place with an amount of 44 points, providing the Faroe Islands their first non-qualification.
