On March 11th, the Greek broadcaster ERT revealed that Greece would return to select their entry through an internal selection. After finishing top six in the previous edition, and therefore being pre-qualified to the final, the interest in participating for the country was risen. Yet the head of delegation also revealed that, the next Greek representative have already been chosen and that the country would try to keep the successful attempts. On April 8th it was revealed that Ioanna Gika would be representing the country in Switzerland. On April 26 it was revealed that Gika would sing "Roseate" the lead single of her first album "Thalassa". Ioanna Gika and many press reviews categorise "Roseate" as a "grief to the loved ones, we never got to say goodbye".

Greece was automatically qualified to the final of the edition. During the semi-finals running order revelation it was revealed that the country would perform in the first half of the final together with Andorra and the host Switzerland, while the other Big 6 countries would perform in the second half. Later it was revealed that Ioanna Gika would perform third in the final, after Austria and before Moldova. During the results Ioanna recieved 162 points, bringing the country on the twentieth place of the final.
