Lebanon debuted in the fifth edition of the North Vision Song Contest and has since participated a total of twenty-eight times, only missing the twenty-third edition due to a Head of Delegation change. The Lebanese broadcaster, Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation Europe, has been responsible for the selection of of the Lebanese entry since the country's debut.
The country's best result was achieved on its debut in the fifth edition, when Nicole Saba won the contest with her song "Hafdal Ahlam". To date, the country has participated in twelve finals.
History of Lebanon in Northvision
LBC Europe showed interest on participating in the contest. They confirmed their debut a day after the submissions of the contest had opened. They hosted a national selection called Lebanese Song Festival and ended winning the whole edition in their debut. The Arab nation received mixed fortune in the contest, with being in final 12 times on their 27 attempts, and even failed to qualify in the PQR once, in the 11th edition. To this day (after the 29th edition) Lebanon reached the top 10 five times, on the 5th, 14th, 28th, 29th and 32nd edition. The country went through a total of 5 Pre-Qualifications Rounds, qualifying from 3 of these (on the 20th, 26th & 28th editions).

To this day, Lebanon has participated a total of 27 Times, having been represented by Female Soloists 26 out of 27 times. 23 different singers have represented the country, Nicole Saba, Carole Samaha, Myriam Fares & Nelly Makdessy have represented Lebanon twice while Lebanese-born singer MIKA became the first male singer to represent Lebanon in the contest.
