The Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix 13 (also referred to as NMGP 13) was the 13th edition of the Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix, organised between the NBU broadcasters of the Nordic nations in order to promote the North Vision Song Contest to unknown Nordic singers. The thirteenth edition was held in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, following the country's victory last edition. It was the fourth time Faroe Islands was hosting. Nordic House with a capacity of 1000 seats was chosen as the venue for the event. Rannvá Joensen was selected as the host for this edition.

Eight countries participated in the edition. All the Nordic countries were taking part. Latvia was the only Baltic country participating.
